Responsibilities

Contract & Operations Management – Oversee Loudoun County’s transit service contracts by monitoring the performance of Commuter Bus, Local Fixed-Route, Microtransit, and Paratransit services
Leadership & Team Development – Lead a dedicated team of county and contracted staff, providing mentorship and strategic direction
Performance & Data Analysis – Collaborate with the Transit Operations Administrator to utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction
Budget & Grants – Monitor expenses to keep transit operations within budget and oversee all transit reporting
Regulatory Compliance & Safety – Ensure contractor adherence to local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a strong safety culture
Community Engagement – Address service concerns and resolve disputes in a professional and friendly manner

Required

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Transportation Planning, or a related field
five (5) years of related work experience in planning, public transportation, or a related field including one (1) year of supervision
equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license and good driving record required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification)
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal, credit, and DMV record background checks
