Responsibilities

Coordinate design activities and meetings between Jacobs staff and subcontractors
Perform quality reviews
Prepare budgets and schedules for bridge design tasks
Help train, direct and mentor junior engineers and CAD staff
Grow the portfolio of projects with the region

Required

Master of Science in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) in IL and/or MN
A minimum of 10 years bridge design experience with a background in steel girder design, prestressed concrete design, and earth retaining structure design
Previous complex bridge experience
Previous experience with Chicago DOT, CTA and/or IDOT (MnDOT experience is a plus)
Thorough knowledge of AASHTO LRFD design code
Proficiency in Midas, Leap Bridge Concrete, and similar analysis and design software
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and to direct the work of others
Project management or task management experience
Excellent focus on client service
Experience supporting proposal development

Experience leading proposal development
