The Engineering Management Trainee position is designed to develop operational and managerial skills through departmental rotations and comprehensive underground experience, while also working towards obtaining the State Assistant Mine Foreman certification.

Responsibilities

Complete Phase I: 12–18-month departmental rotation

Complete evaluation forms for each individual rotation

Complete Phase II: Longwall or CM single department rotation

Track all underground and surface time throughout training phases

Attain Assistant Mine Foreman Certification

Participate in various mine projects

Qualification

/MS Degree in EngineeringUnderground Mining experienceAssistant Mine Foreman CertificationSafety requirementsComputer skillsInnovative self-starterEffective communication

Required

BS/MS Degree in a related discipline (Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Industrial)

Prefer Underground Mining experience (internship/co-op)

Innovative, highly motivated self-starter to conceive and initiate new projects through daily interaction with mine operators, peers, supervisors, and managers

Individual must be skilled and current in the engineering disciplines

Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with personnel at all levels of the organization

Knowledge of safety requirements in mining operations is essential

Excellent computer skills
