Responsibilities

Leads consulting services to members of professional staff and to the customer in the analysis and design data processing systems, management systems, scientific systems, and other related areas
Makes technical decisions on kinds of data to be gathered and methods to be used in data collection and analysis
Leads technical direction, guidance, and assistance to assigned projects, suggesting efficient approaches and methods for solving problems
Provides technical leadership for the integration or requirements, design and technology
Manages and ensures the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment and operations and maintenance
In conjunction with system stakeholders, plans the verification efforts of new and unproven designs early in the development lifecycle to ensure compliance to established requirements
Supports the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes)
Develops analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solution
Prepares and presents written and oral reports
Prepares and presents proposals, or portions thereof, primarily in field of specialty
Analyzes diagnoses, and recommends solutions to complex systems problems
Serves as lead analyst for research project
Develops advanced concepts of automation and information processing, display, control, and transfer for various subsystems
Conducts research and analysis of algorithms and defines data structures that lead to highly efficient system design parameters
Ultimately responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility

Qualification

Required

A minimum of 10 years' experience in System Engineering specifically including: Analysis related to design, development, and integration of hardware and software to support large scale Windows/Unix/Linux environments
CISCO CCNP certified with professional-level skills focused on the data center solutions, technologies and best practices to design, implement, and manage a modern data center infrastructure
10 years' experience testing large scale Windows/Unix/Linux environments
Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational related assignments associated with Storage operations, and virtualization software (VMware's vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V) on a set of enterprise-level IT systems
10 years' experience writing scripts with a scripting language
Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes
Experienced in AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud Services, and other Cloud environments

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience
