Responsibilities

Develop new software capabilities within the Solipsys Product Line using software programming languages such as Java, C++, TypeScript, etc
Demonstrate leadership skills with ability to coordinate the activities of multiple engineers working on a wide range of programs, ensuring successful technical execution and delivery of solutions for the customer
Be adept at communicating (verbal and written) with all levels within and outside the company, ability to prepare and deliver presentations/summaries which appropriately address the intended audience
Identify and evaluate new technologies to increase software development productivity and support strategic product development
Empower engineering staff to excel by ensuring proper training, removing barriers, providing constructive feedback, as well as ensuring proper execution of organizational and department policies and procedures
Support proposal development, including technical solution, price, and schedule content
Ability to travel- up to 25%

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
8 years experience with C++ and/or Java
Strong computer science fundamentals: such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Direct hands on individual experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgresql, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Typescript, HTML/CSS, among many other programming languages and related technologies
Experience developing, assessing and validating complex mathematical solutions such as track filters, track correlation algorithms, and weapon engagement algorithms, for sensors and/or C2 programs
Drive adoption of the best engineering practices, including the use of design patterns, CI/CD, code review and automated integration testing
Experience with managing cyber security processes including vulnerability assessments
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, empathetic leadership style
Background in hiring, onboarding, and building inclusive team culture
Active Security clearance
