Building Science Project Engineer - Mid Level
Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is a leading firm in the Commercial Real Estate industry, seeking full-time Building Science Project Engineers to conduct Property & Facility Condition Assessments for clients. The role involves evaluating building systems, preparing technical reports, and managing project timelines while ensuring effective communication with clients and project managers.

Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of the building systems, provide recommendations for immediate repairs, and use observations and industry standards to determine future building system replacements
Conduct appropriate site reconnaissance, data compilation and organization, and project research (historical, regulatory, etc.)
Technical report authoring and preparation of quality supporting documents (maps, appendices, etc.)
Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule and effectively communicate project progress and any issues as they arise to the Project Manager and client
Provide solid recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and client, while understanding the assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process
Coordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope
Qualification
Required
A Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Architecture or related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.)
2+ years of experience in architecture, engineering and/or construction/cost estimating
1+ years of experience performing property inspections
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Candidate must have a valid driver's license and provide own transportation to and from project sites
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on projects concurrently with a proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
Familiar with the basic principles of civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering, including construction and maintenance of structures and systems
Understand concepts of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, replacement costs
Demonstrate strong skills in observation, deduction, and reasoning
Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
Requires the ability to climb a ladder
