Instructor/Assistant Professor of Finance
Whitworth University is a Christian liberal arts university seeking applications for a tenure-track position as an Instructor or Assistant Professor of Finance. The role involves teaching finance courses, advising the Whitworth Student Investment Group, and contributing to the academic community through research and departmental activities.

Responsibilities
Teach finance courses including corporate finance, derivatives, financial statement analysis, advanced financial statement analysis, and financial management
Serve as the advisor to the Whitworth Student Investment Group (WSIG)
Mentor and work closely with students in the WSIG
Have a research agenda that results in high-quality publications in finance
Participate in departmental activities and governance
Attend faculty assemblies, development days and retreats, and serve on committees
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. or DBA in finance, financial economics, or a related field (ABDs will be considered). Individuals with a master's degree who are willing to pursue a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply. If needed, Whitworth University, through a loan program, will support the doctoral education of the selected candidate
Experience in the finance field is valued
Evidence of promise in effectiveness at college-level teaching (demonstrated effectiveness preferred)
Experience with, or interest in, interactive learning, simulations, and case analysis
A personal commitment to the Christian faith and to the integration of faith and learning
Strong potential for an ongoing stream of research in finance
An interest in students and a desire to become an excellent teacher
Demonstrated potential to publish research in quality journals
