Responsibilities

Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement in support of plant-wide performance goals
Perform visual inspections of in-process and finished products to identify defects or deviations from specifications
Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures to verify dimensional accuracy of parts
Review and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and inspection plans to carry out accurate assessments
Document inspection results, including defects and non-conformance reports, and escalate issues to appropriate personnel
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with Quality and Production teams
Ensure proper calibration and handling of measurement tools and equipment
Perform in-line audits, first-piece inspections, and random sample checks as required
Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection work areas
Complete other duties as assigned

Quality inspection experiencePrecision measuring toolsBlueprint interpretationISO 9001 experienceSPC tools experienceBasic computer skillsLean manufacturing familiarityGD&T knowledgeAttention to detail

Required

High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of prior experience in a quality control or inspection role in a manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of measurement systems and inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional discrepancies
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

Preferred

Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field
Experience working in an ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 certified manufacturing facility
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and quality improvement methodologies
Experience using SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools or inspection software
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
