Sr. Silicon and Package Reliability Engineer (Starshield)

Responsibilities
Collaborate with design teams to ensure that reliability considerations are incorporated into the design process
Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to ensure supplier products meet our reliability requirements
Development and execution of reliability tests for silicon and package products, including but not limited to: High Temperature Operating Life (HTOL), Temperature Humidity Bias (THB), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), latch-up, and package-level reliability tests
Develop effective production screening to ensure parts meet reliability requirements
Evaluate failure analysis and coordinate destructive physical analysis investigations to provide corrective actions and paths to closure
Develop and maintain reliability models and simulations to predict product reliability and identify potential reliability risks
Able to analyze failure rates from reliability test results and develop failure prediction models
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
Experience in silicon and package reliability engineering industry standards such as JEDEC, AEC, and IEC
5+ years of work experience reliability modeling methods to predict product life, and statistical techniques to analyze test data
5+ years of experience in semiconductor, package, and/or PCBA reliability
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
Excellent understanding of accelerated testing methods, governing equations, and physics of failure for different failure mechanisms
Strong understanding of semiconductor physics
Working knowledge of a coding language, preferably Python
Experience with reliability test development and execution, and familiarity with failure analysis techniques (e.g. Scanning Electron Microscope, Confocal Scanning Acoustic Microscopy, Hotspot)
Adept in developing and analyzing reliability statistics, including Weibull Analysis
Familiarity with failure modes effects and criticality analysis, fault tree analysis (FTA), reliability block diagram analysis (RBD)
Experience with single event upset/multiple bit upset (SEU/MBU) analysis
Experience developing Monte Carlo simulations for material, process, manufacturing, environment, usage variations
Experience with life testing methods (HALT/HASS, ESS, ALT, RGT)
Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
