As an Assistant Underwriter Trainee, you will receive extensive training in underwriting and risk management while working closely with industry leaders.

Responsibilities
Attend all EDGE classes and events. Complete homework assignments and projects
Receive a passing grade (80% or higher) on all exams and quizzes
Completed work assignments – under the supervision of their manager
Assess and act on new and renewal accounts to: Determine underwriting acceptability, Determine proper policy issuance
Provide administrative support by preparing and compiling reports
Qualification
Required
An associate or bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, or related fields
A strong academic record and passion for the insurance industry
Strong working knowledge in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Basic mathematical skills
Strong reasoning ability, including defining and solving problems, drawing conclusions, interpreting data, and making connections
Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
