Michael Baker International is seeking a Senior Aviation Civil Engineer/Project Manager to execute and oversee planning, design, and construction for commercial service and general aviation airport clients. Responsibilities

Execute and oversee planning, design, and construction for current and future commercial service and general aviation airport clients

Work together with regional aviation leadership to grow the aviation practice in Texas

Focus on project excellence, client management, team recruitment, and business plan development and execution

Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines

Perform programming, design and construction engineering for statewide aviation

Possess a strong understanding of FAA Design Circulars and Construction Specifications

Develop construction plans and specifications for airside and landside projects

Prepare construction cost estimates, write reports, and develop client presentations

Provide construction engineering services including shop drawing review and responses to contractor questions

Engage in technical activities in the aviation practice in Texas

Build the backlog of the business and market services and capabilities

Pursue new opportunities and maintain performance for delivery of project quality and safety

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering field required

7+ years of experience in aviation and aviation engineering

Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to long term success in this role

Aptitude for communicating with owner/client staff, contractors, and subconsultants

Commitment to and confirmed track record of safely delivering projects on time, under budget, and of the utmost quality

Dedication to project goals, client satisfaction, corporate aspirations, business development, growth objectives, staff development, and operational excellence

Ability to multitask and prioritize competing project obligations

Preferred

Preferred TX Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain

Experience with TxDOT Aviation project delivery is preferred

Other strengths should include development of construction plans and specifications for airside and landside projects, with experience in airfield pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation, hangars, and general airport improvement projects

Aviation support capabilities considered a plus include preparation of construction cost estimates, writing reports and developing client presentations; construction engineering services including shop drawing review and responses to contractor questions
