Complete assigned tasks and projects with a high level of quality and attention to detail
Participate in hands-on training and practice in pit and plant activities
Assist with equipment maintenance and repair
Follow quality control procedures and participate in lab testing as required
Assist with sales and dispatch activities, including weighing and ticketing haul trucks
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Attend daily safety briefings and actively participate in hazard identification and reporting
Actively seek out feedback and coaching from supervisors and team members
Complete end-of-summer presentation summarizing experiences and learning outcomes
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an advanced degree or certificate program in a field related to the industry
Desire to grow within the mining field
