Start in 2026 SummerDewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in their Lanham, MD office. The intern will work on site/civil design projects for residential, commercial, and industrial development, gaining hands-on experience and applying the latest technology to solve client challenges.

Responsibilities
Site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design
Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets
Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans
May also conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering required
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft office is required
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred
Previous internship experience preferred
Local candidates preferred, no housing stipend will be provided
