Responsibilities
Contribute to department goals by supporting project delivery, fees, and profit objectives
Organize and conduct engineering investigations under the guidance of senior staff
Assist with project planning, scope development, and workflow management
Draft straightforward reports and support preparation of complex technical documents
Provide engineering services during construction, including recordkeeping, progress reporting, and observation of construction procedures
Research feasibility of design alternatives, site conditions, and regulatory requirements
Prepare preliminary estimates of man-hours, costs, and materials
Coordinate with other disciplines as needed
Perform field observations, quality assurance, and quality control inspections
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical concentration preferred)
2–3 years of relevant experience required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering a plus
Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) registration preferred
Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) projects preferred
