Responsibilities

Build a positive and trusting relationship with clients through social interaction

Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving by guiding clients towards safe and acceptable behaviors

Gradually reduce prompts to promote independent responses while ensuring success

Increase the occurrence and duration of desirable behaviors by providing positive reinforcement

Accurately collect unbiased behavior data

Communicate proactively with fellow RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors to support the clients’ needs

Observe and collect data

Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs

Conduct behavior-analytic assessments (e.g., functional analyses, stimulus preference assessments)

Research literature relevant to a current client’s programming

Write and revise behavior-analytic programs

Maintain BACB Ethical Compliance Code for RBTs and client dignity

Work with BCBA Mentor on guided practice of the BCBA role throughout Fellowship

Required

Enrolled or graduated from a BACB approved Master's or Certification Program. To meet HHF's criteria: Program must have BACB reported exam pass rate of 60% of higher for 3 consecutive years OR be ABAI/APBA accredited program

Pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment (if not already certified)

Must be active RBT for 60 days with HHF

Strong verbal and written communication for speaking with clients' families and recording session notes
