Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic testing according to established departmental procedures, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care
Perform diagnostic testing as directed by the physician at a competent technical level not requiring constant supervision
Operate diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results
Manage the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet patient care standards
Ensure supplies are maintained and report problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member
Actively participate in and support student clinical education activities where applicable
Support organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation

Required

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program required
Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) required
Certified in Radiography (R.T.(R) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
BLS for Healthcare Providers required
ACLS required within 3 months from date of hire or transfer
State License expires end of each year and must be renewed annually to work
ARRT expires on incumbent's date of birth and must be renewed to work

Preferred

Advanced ARRT certification preferred within 18 months of passing initial registry or date of hire
1-year diagnostic testing experience preferred
Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire
