Environmental, Health and Safety Intern
Thermo Fisher Scientific is a leading company focused on improving global health, cleanliness, and safety. The EHS Intern will support the Environmental, Health & Safety department by participating in safety meetings, reviewing management system entries, coordinating contractor activities, and assisting with waste management and incident investigations.
Research
Responsibilities
Actively participate in Tier meetings to discuss safety and environmental matters
Review entries into the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management system and update records accordingly
Coordinate contractor activities to ensure compliance with EHS standards
Assist with all aspects of waste processing and management
Participate in investigations to determine the cause of incidents and successfully implement corrective actions
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety; Chemistry; Biochemistry, or another related field of study, or equivalent experience graduating between December 2026 and June 2027
Capability to use diverse resources, respond quickly, understand the impact of changes and decisions, facilitate agreement, and build collaborative relationships
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based software
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage various tasks effectively
Preferred
Knowledge of chemical safety is a plus
