2026-2027 Thoracic Pathology Fellow

The UW School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Thoracic Pathology Fellow for a one-year non-ACGME certified fellowship designed to develop diagnostic and leadership skills in thoracic and transplant-related pathology. The fellow will work closely with subspecialty pathologists, participate in multidisciplinary conferences, and engage in research and educational projects.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be required to fulfill daily responsibilities, participate in multidisciplinary conferences, and complete at least one research, educational, or quality improvement project during the fellowship
Based on the evaluation of the candidate's proficiency and performance, there may be opportunities for being involved in laboratory management projects, independent sign out and resident teaching
The fellow will perform the duties of a thoracic diagnostic surgical pathologist in the department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine with additional duties in other areas of transplant pathology depending on the fellow's interest

Required

Graduate of a certified U.S. based pathology residency program
Unrestricted WI Medical License required by start date
Board eligible or board certified in anatomic pathology (AP) or combination of anatomic pathology and clinical pathology (AP/CP) by the American Board of Pathology (ABP)
