Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Regions Finance - Public Sector
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support their growing Public Sector business. The role involves providing financial strategic decision support, P&L analysis, and controllership to various stakeholders, while owning the full P&Ls for the infrastructure regions that support Public Sector customers.

Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance P&L models and financial metrics for existing AWS Public Sector regions, and build out reporting and analyses when new regions launch
Develop deep and impactful business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses
Communicate frequently and effectively with business leaders, using timely and accurate financials to help make business decisions
Drive the financial planning / budgeting process for AWS Public Sector regions, and track the key drivers on how the regions are performing compared to the plan
Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change
Lead key analytical projects that assist and influence the business
Develop plans and operational strategies for new initiatives to drive adoption in regions
Provide deep analytics and communicate effectively to senior business leaders
Qualification
Required
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Due to the nature of work performed, this position requires that the selected candidate be a U.S. citizen
Preferred
3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse
Experience working with stakeholders
