Trading Analyst

Responsibilities

Provide ETRM support to the trading team. Ensure that trade details, pricing models, and risk exposures are accurately communicated and reconciled across teams
Assist with ad-hoc research projects and market analysis to support broader commercial strategy
Build and improve tools (Excel, Python, VBA, or other platforms) to support trading activities and enhance efficiency across the marketing organization
Act as a point of coordination between trading and other groups including Risk, Operations, Accounting, and Scheduling
Partner directly with traders to provide timely analysis, pricing support, and second-layer diligence for trade ideas and strategies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
High proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI, etc.) is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Preferred

Demonstrated interest in energy markets, commodities, or trading preferred
