Texas A&M International University is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant in the School of Engineering. The role involves assisting in research projects and managing ongoing activities at the AI institute under the supervision of the center director.

Research and collect data through complex techniques and procedures
Assist with data management and perform basic statistical analyses
Develop assessment and evaluation tools
Other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree
Enrolled at least half-time, 3 credit hours per semester for graduates
Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 3.0 for graduate students
Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP)
Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions
Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace
Work schedules are created by the department based on departmental needs but ensure it does not conflict with class schedule
Promptly complete all required training
Submit time sheet biweekly
Some evening and weekend work may be required
Subject to funding and/or need
All positions are security-sensitive. Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation, and employment is contingent upon the institution's verification of credentials and/or other information required by the institution's procedures, including the completion of the criminal history check

Preferred

Prior experience in AI and Machine learning applications in engineering
Data management and data analysis experience
Strong computer science and mathematics background
