Providing radiation therapy services using prescribed ionizing radiation under the direction of the radiation oncologist
Creates images/or simulations to ensure correct handling of patient during radiation treatment
Schedules patients for examinations/treatments with radiation oncologist
Practices good radiation protection techniques and wears radiation exposure monitoring devices as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Radiation Therapy required
Registry credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT): R.T.(R)(T) or R.T.(T) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Preferred
Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
6-12 months related experience and/or training preferred
