The Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain technical accounting standards, and drive process improvements while collaborating with various stakeholders to uphold compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements

Lead the readiness efforts for the production of financial information in compliance with SEC regulations

Manage the external audit process and serve as primary liaison with external auditors

Participate in the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting deliverables

Review and analyze complex accounting transactions, providing technical guidance to ensure proper accounting treatment

Research and document technical accounting positions on complex transactions and emerging accounting issues

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures

Implement new accounting standards and guide the organization through accounting changes

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control environment

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including to ensure alignment of financial reporting processes

Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, financial services experience a plus

Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

Experience with financial services products and related accounting treatment

Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to absorb and communicate complex technical matters to non-technical audiences

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

High level of integrity and professionalism

Proactive approach to problem-solving
