Responsibilities
Develop and apply expertise on Clearwater systems and processes to evaluate requirements and configure solutions to meet a wide range of investment accounting and reporting needs for Clearwater's largest clients
Make decisions and contribute to client success while providing instruction to team members regarding their area of expertise
Manage investment accounting processes including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy within investment accounting workflows
Lead or participate in projects related to investment accounting, including system implementations, upgrades, and process documentation
Qualification
Required
Proven track record of managing investment accounting processes including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy within investment accounting workflows
Experience successfully leading or participating in projects related to investment accounting, including system implementations, upgrades, and process documentation
Proficiency in multi-basis accounting principles, including but not limited to GAAP, IFRS, and local regulatory requirements
Strong understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, with the ability to interpret and analyze results effectively
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex financial data and identify areas for improvement
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex accounting concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and compliance documentation
Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and provide expert guidance to colleagues on investment accounting matters
Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems, as well as advanced skills in Excel and data analysis tools
Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements impacting investment accounting practices. (BMA, NAIC, FASB, IFRS)
Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting or Finance-related field, or experience in relevant area of specialization
7+ years' relevant experience
