Shell Federal Credit Union is an equal opportunity employer seeking a Part Time Security Officer. The Security Officer will ensure the security of the premises, assets, and personnel by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents as necessary.

Responsibilities

Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions

Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within the scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act

Required to attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled

Effectively communicate and de-escalate potential conflicts in accordance with training

Perform access control procedures on vehicles, personnel, and visitors

Inform personnel and visitors of security procedures, as well as acting upon non-compliance

Monitor alarm systems and video surveillance systems

Investigate suspicious activities and disturbances appropriately without engaging in harassing or discriminatory treatment

Report security breaches to designated law enforcement in immediate matter

Perform maintenance checks on security systems and equipment

Document observations and surveillance activities

Adhere to security industry regulations

Performs additional duties as assigned

Required

Minimum two years of experience in a similar role

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

State-prescribed training, licensing, and registration

Welcoming and helpful demeanor

Credit Union provided uniform is required to be worn

Ability to inform personnel and visitors of security procedures

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

Advanced ability to carry out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

Knowledge of security industry regulations

Extensive knowledge and ability to operate security systems and surveillance equipment

Must have an acceptable driving record

Must be insurable

Ability to work in open concept workspace/environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, walk and stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift, carry and/or move 50 pounds

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation

Position may require a Fitness for Duty Exam
