Responsibilities
Develop knowledge and expertise around the data tables across all areas of the business
Write SQL queries, build dashboards, and conduct ad hoc analysis to help operational leaders understand business performance, make effective decisions, and identify root causes of results
Assist with third-party audit, exam, and regulatory reporting by supporting timelines, contributing to data QA, and helping prepare clear outputs for partners and regulators
Support the maintenance and improvement of Valon’s SLA reporting process
Collaborate with other data analysts and data engineers to recommend and implement improvements to data models
Qualification
Required
4–7 years of full-time work experience in data analytics or business intelligence, ideally at a mortgage servicer, financial institution, or other regulated industry
Strong proficiency in SQL (Python skills a plus)
Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
Experience with data visualization tools (Hex, Looker, or equivalent)
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn quickly
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional data team members
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
