Responsibilities
Manage trademark portfolios
Provide strategic legal advice on trademark selection, use, and registration, identifying and mitigating brand-related legal risks
Oversee trademark enforcement, including cease and desist letters, domain name disputes (UDRP), and support litigation strategy in collaboration with external counsel
Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements such as licensing, coexistence agreements, NDAs, assignments, and branding clauses in commercial contracts
Ensure compliance with local and international trademark regulations, and stay updated on changes in relevant IP law
Work collaboratively with other attorneys in the firm to offer integrated legal solutions to clients with multidisciplinary needs and mentor junior attorneys
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the state bar
10+ years of experience specializing in trademark law
Deep understanding of U.S. and international trademark laws and practices (USPTO, WIPO, EUIPO, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts to a diverse client base
Preferred
Candidates with some portable business are strongly preferred
