Corrective Activities Administrative Assistant, Committee on Publication

The First Church of Christ, Scientist is seeking a Corrective Activities Administrative Assistant to provide metaphysical and administrative support to the Manager’s office of the Committees on Publication. The role involves coordinating various administrative tasks and supporting both Committee and Editorial Activities functions.

Responsibilities

Praying specifically for healing of impositions and in support of essential activities in which the office and Committees in the field are engaged
Coordinating translation and interpreting needs for staff with the Office of Language Services or other services
Supporting record filing needs, including assisting with online records database
Supporting updates to the internal Committee Resource Center website
Coordinating with the Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) as needed
Supporting needs related to meetings with Committees on Publication — individual, group, and worldwide
Performing other administrative duties as needed and requested
Reviewing and managing correspondence coming into the ComSupport email inbox, in coordination with other staff
Attending and supporting daily meetings (Monday through Thursday), where incoming Committee and Field Support requests, tasks, and correspondence are reviewed
Supporting various projects related to, and questions from, Committees on Publication, such as Committees’ communication with and support for church members in their respective jurisdictions (newsletters, branch church talks, member correspondence, etc.), questions related to the management and administration of Committees’ local offices, and other items
Helping to ensure the Manager’s office is staying in close contact with all Committees worldwide
Supporting the annual appointment process of Committees on Publication worldwide by tracking, coordinating, and communicating with staff and appointing Readers worldwide
Helping to respond to and support a variety of needs and questions that Committees reach out to our office about, including those related to technology and office administration
Preparing and helping to distribute communications to Committees, such as bulletins, in multiple languages
Reviewing and managing correspondence coming into the ComEditorial email inbox, in coordination with other staff
Attending and supporting daily meetings (Monday through Thursday), where incoming editorial requests, tasks, and correspondence are reviewed, as well as weekly meetings where media mentions and corrective opportunities are considered
Identifying items for discussion in the daily Editorial Activities team meetings
Supporting workflow processes for Editorial Activities, including tracking and organizing inquiries and correctives as directed
Compiling completed corrective items into a document for the Board contact and into M-Files
Inputting research, reference, and historical items into M-Files
Assisting with research as needed to support corrective responses by the Editorial Activities team
Drafting content appropriate for the Committee on Publication’s own internal needs, as called upon
Assisting with other projects as assigned

Required

Membership in The Mother Church required
Bachelor's degree and two to three years work experience preferred
Strong metaphysical foundation and a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality in this work
Ability to work as a team member as well as independently, within different cultures and environments

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and two to three years work experience preferred
Language skills are helpful
