Post Doctoral Research Scholar
NC State College of Engineering is seeking two Postdoctoral Research Scholars in quantum computing. The scholars will work on hybrid continuous-discrete-variable quantum computing, focusing on areas like condensed matter physics and quantum circuit simulation, while collaborating with faculty and mentoring junior researchers.
Higher Education
Responsibilities
Explore relevant parameter regions for useful boson-fermi mixed quantum matter; Design, develop, and implement novel quantum algorithms to simulate them
Quantify resource requirements on simulation on hybrid CD-DV quantum processors under noise, and compare to qubit-based quantum computers
Explore compilation, benchmarking, HPC simulation, error mitigation, and error correction strategies on hybrid CV-DV quantum processors
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand domain-specific requirements and integrate discoveries into the team’s mission
Help to lead the project and mentor junior researchers
Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences
Supervising and mentoring graduate students
