Responsibilities
The individual will be the single point of communication during the construction phase
Design and construction document management and revision control
Determine if the work is proceeding in substantial conformity with the design plans
Provide design document review and coordination across multiple design disciplines
Must have experienced-based knowledge of specifications to know when it is appropriate or necessary to elevate issues to the design team
Facilitate daily communication with the owner, design team, and contractor
Work in the field to perform observation and other construction phase services safely and independently
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
Demonstrated construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
Preferred
Understanding of the building, fire, mechanical, plumbing and electrical codes as well as seismic and sway (anchorage and bracing) requirements
Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities of the owner
EIT or PE License
Data center experience
Previous construction experience with a consulting firm
Ability to interpret construction schedules
Able to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineering team and align with any construction changes
