Responsibilities

Support the inspection of sewer, water, and paving construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications

Use measuring tools to verify materials, line, and grade accuracy

Maintain accurate records and update project documentation using electronic reporting software

Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and city staff to keep projects on track

Respond to public inquiries and help address construction-related concerns

Work outdoors on real-world infrastructure projects that improve communities

Communicate effectively with diverse project teams

Apply academic knowledge to practical engineering challenges

Assist with both field and office tasks as needed

Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail to support project success

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in civil engineering or a related field

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn

Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

Good communication skills for interacting with project managers, contractors, and the public

Basic math skills for measurements and estimations

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred

Experience with construction, surveying, or CAD software is a plus, but not required
