Visiting Scholar
NC State College of Engineering is seeking a Visiting Scholar to join Dr. Martin Thuo’s Research Group and the Center for Complex Particle Systems. The role involves conducting research on additive manufacturing and the fabrication of complex metal particles, as well as facilitating 3D printing and characterizing resulting microstructures and mechanical properties.

Responsibilities
Fabricating metal particles using facilities in Prof. Thuo’s laboratory
Facilitating the 3D printing particles and characterizing resulting microstructures, mechanical properties and composition gradients
Facilitating the 3D printing of complex metal particles to control microstructure and mechanical properties
Conducting research relevant to the group’s focus of complex metal particles, their microstructures, mechanical properties and beyond
Assists in preparing presentations and writing proposals
Qualification
Required
Master of Engineering in Materials Science & Engineering or related field
Preferred
Master of Engineering in Materials Science & Engineering or related field
