Montana Technological University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, initiating and sustaining a research program, and providing service to the department and community.

Teaching service courses and courses specific to Mechanical Engineering
Initiate and sustain a research program, including leadership of undergraduate and graduate students
Provide service to the department, campus, community, and profession

Qualification

Required

A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline by position start date
Excellent English written and oral communication skills
Strong commitment to teaching, research, and mentoring
Professional Engineering license in the United States required for promotion and tenure

Preferred

Industrial experience
Teaching experience
Capability to obtain a PE license within four years of appointment
