They are seeking a Process Technician to support the Extrusion department by troubleshooting processes, developing skills of Team Leads and Operators, and improving training procedures while focusing on continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc
Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
Informs Supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
Support company Food Safety efforts through commitment and compliance to SQF standard practices and policies
Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
Troubleshoot daily process issues in Extrusion
Overhaul Extruders and equipment as required by schedule and process to conform to quality standard
Train and Support Production for Production change over
Conduct and assist testing for new material and/or process
Improve the overall skill set of the Team Leads and Operators in Extrusion-Repro-Compound through detailed training
Participate/Lead in Continuous Improvement Events/Teams in Extrusion with a focus on improving quality/output and reducing scrap and downtime
Advice/Lead line/equipment maintenance and improvement including process/operation improvement

Required

Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions
Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English
