Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, real-time vehicle pose estimation solutions that power the next generation of mobile robots
Research, develop, and deploy state of the art, safe and reliable (fail-operational) vehicle pose estimation algorithms
Analyze and characterize the accuracy and performance of pose estimation algorithms on a variety of platforms
Build well-tested C/C++ software and deploy and test on our robotic platforms and in simulation
Collaborate with stakeholders across autonomy, hardware, and systems teams on sensor selection and architectures for next generation vehicles
Qualification
Required
You have a PhD and/or Masters Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or related field
You have a deep understanding of state estimation, probabilistic filtering, 3D geometry
You have experience developing pose estimation algorithms with sensors such as IMU, motor resolvers or encoders, GPS, etc., and sensor fusion
You have three years or more of industry experience as a software engineer
Strong C/C++ programming skills, developing well-tested, safety critical software
Hands-on experience developing sensor fusion or filtering algorithms for AV, drones, or similar applications
Preferred
Experience developing software for embedded systems in C
Experience working with AV safety standards, and redundant, fault-tolerant systems
Proficiency with python
