Responsibilities

Assist engineers in the research, design, development and test of a variety of electrical systems used in distributed energy resources, hydrogen generation and microgrids
Investigate future technologies and architectures, in particular on microgrids and battery storage systems
Design subsystems in new product line and suggest/make improvements to existing products under the direction of other senior engineers
Provide technical support for existing products to analyze design and process related issues, production and field problems
Carry out various test programs to evaluate performance of new and existing products
Prepare project report and present to team in the last week of internship

Required

Currently a student earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027

Preferred

Thorough understanding of electrical power systems, power electronics, control systems
Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, battery storage or grid parallel systems is a plus
Modelling power electronics in Matlab or PSCAD is a plus
Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Critical thinking, able to think 'outside the box.'
