They are seeking a Survey Technician Intern to work on a survey team, assisting in various surveying tasks and learning the field processes under the supervision of the Survey Crew Chief.

Responsibilities
Maintain and operate GPS and conventional surveying instruments, including performing and/or coordinating routine maintenance on company trucks, ATVs, UTVs and equipment
Assist in production of topographic and boundary surveys
Learn process of organizing field notes
Learn to read construction plans to ensure accurate area to be surveyed
Assist in field staking with stable placement
Perform manual labor, such as cutting brush for lines, carrying stakes, rebar, tools, and equipment, etc
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
0-3 years surveying experience
General understanding of technology and software required
Valid driver's license with good driving record required
Ability to pass safety and certification classes (including First Aid and CPR) and exhibit safety oriented mentality
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: General survey knowledge related to field process, equipment, and techniques
Familiarity with construction plans
Ability and aptitude to interpret and understand plans and specifications
Effective communication skills
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
Team oriented and ability to get along with others
Good math skills (ability to: add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Knowledge in MS Office and technical software
Strong organizational skills
Ability to embrace new technologies and processes
Knowledge and/or ability to learn survey software/CAD software and Trimble Business Center
Preferred
2-year technical degree preferred
Survey experience preferred
