Responsibilities

Daily hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, service, and repair of on-site industrial equipment

Communicate with the Service and Engineering team to arrange spare parts, travel schedules, and overall support

Assemble, align, and install equipment and machine upgrades, as necessary, while adhering to timeline and budget

Provide 24/7 monitoring of equipment via phone support, with rapid response as needed – both remotely and on-site

Routinely inspect equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely

Manage a team of 2-3 custodial and entry level maintenance specialists

Assist with other leadership functions in the building, as the business needs

Communicate with facility leadership to arrange planned downtime to complete maintenance activities

Record data and keep logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity to generate weekly reports detailing completed tasks and outstanding items

Provide remote support to plant facilities outside of the region to get them back in production as quickly as possible

Maintain spare parts inventory at the Baltimore facility in partnership with plant management to ensure plants are stocked effectively

Cover for other Supervisors and Managers during callouts or vacations

Required

Education: High School or Equivalent

Experience: Maintenance experience in mechanical assemblies, boilers, autoclaves, and production equipment

Welding, experience with basic repair work

Electrical, ability to identify and repair electrical issues and communicate fault conditions

Skills: Ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled machines, with telephone support

Operate engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment

Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations

Ability to use computers, tablets and smart devices proficiently; navigate Excel spreadsheets and computer-based reporting such as Maintain-X and Myosh; write reports in MS Word and maintain computer-based documentation
