Responsibilities
Develop the internal Kubernetes platform
Integrate platform components and operators; implement the deployment and monitoring for these following IaC, CaC and GitOps principles
Develop and maintain an internal Kubernetes operator
Develop CI validation and verification of the code base
Adopt a security mindset as part of development and validation processes
Document the platform for use-of-use by application teams and the platform operations team
Coordinate with other technical staff to implement systems and software, prioritizing depending on business needs
Support operations functions, including root cause identification, remediation and documentation
Regularly re-assess the platform's internal ecosystem with the industry's leading solutions
Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation for tier 3 support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience developing or operating a Kubernetes platform in a production environment
Experience with one high-level programming language
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Preferred
Experience with Kubernetes (and related ecosystem) configuration and administration
Experience developing mature solutions for monitoring and reporting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk
Writing code with a high-level programming language such as Python or Go
Experience writing and maintaining a Kubernetes operator
Understanding of security and network stack
Experience operating Linux and Unix systems in a large-scale environment
Experience with managing an on-prem footprint
Experience with one cloud environment, such as AWS
Familiarity with development tools such as GitHub
Written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly and succinctly describe complex issues
