Senior Manager, Merchandising

The Senior Manager of eCommerce for Laura Mercier will oversee daily site operations, optimize the customer journey, and enhance eCommerce performance on Shopify, collaborating with various teams to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

Responsibilities
Own the day-to-day operations of the eCommerce site (Shopify Plus), ensuring product pages, collections, banners, and merchandising are up to date and aligned with brand and promotional calendars
Own and plan the eCommerce promotional calendar, coordinating cross-functionally to align product launches, sales events, and marketing campaigns with site updates and operational readiness
Lead ongoing site optimizations including UX/UI improvements, navigation, product discovery, and checkout experience to improve conversion rate, AOV, and customer satisfaction
Manage product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotions across the site with excellence in execution
Serve as the in-house Shopify expert—managing customizations, apps, integrations, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with Digital Operations team to implement new features, solve platform issues, and maintain site performance and reliability
Stay current on Shopify updates and emerging tools to continuously enhance site functionality and speed
Monitor and analyze eCommerce KPIs (traffic, CVR, AOV, bounce rate, revenue) to identify trends and opportunities
Set up A/B tests and develop hypotheses to optimize site performance and inform broader strategy
Report on eCommerce performance weekly and monthly with actionable insights and recommendations
Partner with Brand Marketing to support paid campaigns, product drops, and promotions with aligned site experiences and landing pages
Work closely with Creative and Content teams to ensure consistent storytelling across the digital ecosystem
Collaborate with Demand Planning and Operations teams to ensure sufficient inventory levels to support upcoming site promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns—proactively flagging risks and recommending adjustments to the promotional calendar as needed
Collaborate with Customer Experience and Ops teams to reduce friction and improve post-purchase experience
Qualification
Required
5–7 years of experience in eCommerce, preferably at a fast-growing DTC brand (beauty or lifestyle industry preferred)
Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus is required, including managing apps, custom templates, and third-party integrations
Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices including conversion optimization, site merchandising, and digital merchandising
Proficient in Google Analytics, Shopify analytics, heat mapping tools (e.g., Clarity,), and A/B testing platforms
Experience with CRM tools, Gorgias, and other DTC eCommerce tools is a plus
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a user-first mindset
