Responsibilities
Lead a business line with full P&L responsibility
Deliver expert nonprofit accounting and compliance services
Build a scalable practice alongside a mission-driven legal team
Help shape the future of a national platform serving nonprofit organizations
Manage and grow a portfolio of nonprofit accounting clients
Deliver accurate, timely compliance (Forms 990, 990-EZ, 990-PF, etc.)
Mentor and lead a small team (Accountant + Services Manager)
Implement systems and processes to support scale
Partner with FPLG attorneys to cross-sell and integrate services
Represent FPLG as a thought leader in nonprofit accounting and compliance
Qualification
Required
CPA license (required)
7+ years' experience in nonprofit accounting, auditing, or tax compliance
Prior leadership/management experience
Strong knowledge of IRS nonprofit regulations
Entrepreneurial mindset — excited to grow, not just maintain
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters to non-financial leaders
