Responsibilities
Research, develop, design, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices
Work on power-producing machines such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines
Develop power-using machines such as refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, machine tools, material handling systems, elevators and escalators, industrial production equipment, and robots used in manufacturing
Design tools that other engineers need for their work
Rely on computers to assist in efficiently performing computations, and by permitting the modeling and simulation of new designs as well as facilitating changes to existing designs
Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) for design data processing and for turning the design into a product
Qualification
Required
Experience in engineering, IT, and technical support for data analysis, software development and modifications, control system development, IT and Information assurance (IA)
Research, develop, design, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices
Experience with power-producing machines such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines
Experience with power-using machines such as refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, machine tools, material handling systems, elevators and escalators, industrial production equipment, and robots used in manufacturing
Ability to design tools that other engineers need for their work
Proficiency in using computers for computations, modeling, and simulation of new designs
Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
