Responsibilities
Designing 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
Making sure designs meet our high standards, manufacturing requirements, and customer needs
Creating smart, parametric models that adapt to different product specs
Automating repetitive tasks and improving speed without losing accuracy
Developing templates and design rules to simplify custom product creation
Working closely with our sales, design, and manufacturing teams
Helping integrate CAD tools with our internal software
Supporting connections between our design tools and business systems (like ERP & CRM)
Analyzing how we work today and finding smart ways to improve
Document processes, create training materials, and support adoption of automation tools across the team
Driving change and innovation from the ground up
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience in this field required
Strong skills in 3D CAD software as it relates to parts, assemblies and drawings is required; SolidWorks preferred
A solid understanding of parametric, rules-based design
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and design-for-manufacturing principles
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
Preferred
DriveWorks (configurators, automation templates, design rules) or other design automation tools
ERP/CRM system integrations
Programming/scripting (VB, C#, SQL, etc.)
Creating user guides, technical documentation or training content
Experience with reporting tools or methods for monitoring software automation performance
