The role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow dietary instructions while ensuring a clean and sanitized work environment.

Responsibilities
Reading printed tickets and ensuring the corresponding items are on the tray
Understanding diets and following instructions related to diet or allergy information
Filling bulk stock items, crates of milk, boxes of condiments, trays of food, and boxes of juice
Assisting with cleaning dishes, washing carts, changing chemicals, and putting dishes away between meals
Using an iPad to promote/demote trays through the tray monitor program and communicating with hosts when trays need delivered
Ensuring quality food and compliance with diets when the checker is not present on the tray line
Requires the use of abrasive chemicals and operation of heavy kitchen appliances/machinery
Tray Line Assistants work on their feet for the majority of an 8 hour shift. They may be required to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, push and pull carts, lift and reach, lift and reach overhead, stand, walk, and twist repetitively throughout their shift
Tray Line Assistants are expected to provide a high level of satisfaction as it relates to the presentation and accuracy of patient orders
This position is directly responsible for preparing patient trays, stocking tray line area and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment
The Tray Line Assistant is a highly visible representative of the Food and Nutrition Department and must exhibit all customer service standards as defined by the Food and Nutrition Department as well as those outlined and defined by Blessing Hospital mission and values

Qualification
Required

Completion of Food Safety CBL within 30 days of hire
Preferred
