They are seeking a Senior Attorney to work in the Economic Regulation Section, handling legal work related to ratemaking, certification, and territorial issues in the water, wastewater, electric, and gas industries.

Responsibilities
Work in the Economic Regulation Section of the Office of General Counsel
Handle legal work for the Commission concerning ratemaking, certification, and territorial issues in the water, wastewater, electric, and gas industries
Appear primarily before the Florida Public Service Commission
Evaluate issues; conduct complex legal research and apply that research to issues; conduct investigations and discovery; present evidence; advocate positions at hearings both orally and in writing; communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and work collaboratively on a team
Qualification
Required
Admission to The Florida Bar
Two years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law or in administrative or judicial meetings
Strong working knowledge of and experience with the Florida Administrative Procedure Act
Strong working knowledge of and experience with the Uniform Rules of Procedures
Strong working knowledge of and experience with Florida Civil Procedure
Strong working knowledge of and experience with the Florida Evidence Code
Ability to evaluate issues
Ability to conduct complex legal research and apply that research to issues
Ability to conduct investigations and discovery
Ability to present evidence
Ability to advocate positions at hearings both orally and in writing
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to work collaboratively on a team
