They are seeking a Golf Operations Intern to gain hands-on experience in golf operations, where the intern will assist with customer service, point of sale operations, and tournament setups while providing excellent service to guests and members.

Responsibilities
Offer friendly and professional customer service to all resort patrons, members and guests
Use the point-of-sale system to: check in golfers, sell merchandise and make/check tee times
Assist in ensuring guest check-in/ fee collection in coordination with pros and starters
Assist in outing/tournament setup
Assist when needed with the operation of outside services (player services, starters, player assistants)
Assist with inventory control: accepting of new inventory, displays and end-of-month counts
Coordinate with Stay & Play managers on overnight guests regarding their tee times
Communicate with starters and player assistants to ensure exceptional guest/member experiences and place of play
Provide resolution skills and tactics for issues that arise to appease guests/members
Conduct oneself in professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times as a representative of Geneva National
Be aware of course availability and scheduling, as well as promoting GN events and restaurants to members and the public
Perform any duties assigned by Resort Head Professional
Uphold the company policies and procedures when dealing with customers and members
Qualification
Required
Must have high school diploma or GED
One or more years in a two- or four-year college program, preferably majoring in Golf Course Management (PGM or GEM major)
Basic computer understanding, usage and reboot knowledge
Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per shift)
Ability to lift, carry, and transport golf bags and equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and push/pull
Ability to wash, clean, and restock golf carts, which requires repetitive motion and use of cleaning equipment
Ability to safely operate golf carts and other golf course equipment
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Ability to hear, speak, and see clearly to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred
