Engineering Technician | Motors R&D

They are seeking an Engineering Technician to ensure that Electronic Motors are designed, built, and tested to support R&D and flight testing, contributing to the development of fully electric propulsion systems.

Responsibilities
Hands-on assembly or repair of electric motors including redlining engineering drawings and created build records
Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes in concert with design engineers
Assist editing and implementing technical documentation
Develop your expertise concerning electro-mechanical assembly of fully electric propulsion systems
Respect and foster a culture of safety, including working safely around high-voltage
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical assembly and testing and/or manufacturing environment
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
Strong critical thinking skills
Ability to pivot and rapidly develop solutions to changing goals
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Strong communication skills
Passion for sustainability
Preferred
Experienced with inspection techniques and equipment
Metal reworking (lathe, mill, etc)
Basic CAD skills in opening and interrogating parts and assemblies
Technical knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 800 VDC
Experience in electrical troubleshooting, soldering and board-level rework
Familiar with electrostatic discharge best practices (ESD)
