Responsibilities
Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure
Complete all MIR exams and procedures, obtaining optimal images for physician review according to policy and protocol
Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results
Obtain and review all history of ferrous implants and other possible contraindication for scanning in a magnetic field
Perform venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media
Practice established safety guidelines and use mire safety tools and techniques
Assume responsibility for self-development
Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms
Qualification
Required
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) ARRT, ARRT-MR, or ARMIT within 1 year
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Preferred
Associate's Degree in MRI
Certificate in Radiology
1 year MRI Experience
