Responsibilities

Oversee quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise BIM work, measurements, documentation, analysis, and portrayal of incoming and existent data

Ensure standard practices to provide technical design assistance and guidance that accounts for the proper illustration, fit form, and function using geometric dimensioning, tolerance and quantity calculations, while ensuring the construction and maintainability of designs according to design standard specifications and code requirements

Acts as a lead consultant regarding work progress and problem resolution; may serve as the only Civil BIM Manager resource on a project or assist in overseeing Civil BIM Manager activities for projects of a moderate/large scope and complexity

Assist with development and scoping of Civil BIM Manager activities for medium-to large-sized projects

Ensure compliance with guidelines and project-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, the maintenance of any data collection, database, documentation, and the management of a digital library of drafting and design support documents in various file types

Apply analytical techniques and software to solve more larger-scale and complex engineering issues on projects, or to modify or redesign existing designs in accordance with project standards and specifications

Advanced knowledge of OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, OpenRoads ConceptStation and iTwin Platform, including advanced modeling, template creation, drawing package management, clash detection and scripting

Performs Bentley project setups and updates including workspace development and modifications

Implement drawing organization for large, complex drawing packages across multiple companies

Facilitates collaboration and clash detection for a large, multi-discipline project team across multiple companies

Troubleshoots general Bentley project-related issues with limited assistance of department management

Participates in Bentley development

Develops and mentors staff on WSP Bentley standards and processes

Supervise work product compiled and drafted from the physical work site, surveys, structural concepts, blueprints, schematics, data, verbal or written specifications, technical drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, and other matrices to support drafting and design activities for single, multi-phase, or multi-site project work

Coordinate 3D CAD & BIM work products and work closely with engineers and project managers to resolve design details or discrepancies on projects of moderate- to large-scale, complexity, and/or scope

Implement asset management and attribute data libraries on large projects and assists in the development of data architecture and data transformation to other design platforms

Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, communities, subcontractors, and technical staff in a confident and professional manner

Collaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready solutions for clients

Actively engage in business development and proposal writing

Remain current in latest design support practices, methods, procedures, subject matter, techniques, and software

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)

7-10 years' experience using Bentley technologies within the A/E/C industry

6 + years' experience with Open/Connect Bentley Civil design, documentation and management

Experience and understanding of document management applications (ProjectWise, Sharepoint, Infrastrucure Cloud, ACC, BIM 360, etc.)

Proven ability to understand and recognize complex design problems

Effective communication skills with a team-oriented attitude
