They are seeking a motivated Backend Engineer to work on building production backend systems, improve existing AI workflows, and ensure the reliability of AI features through thorough testing and validation.

Responsibilities
Building frontier applied AI features – designing and implementing agentic systems that handle real-world, multi-step tasks
Improving existing AI workflows – increasing visibility through robust monitoring, logging, and alerting
Validation & Testing – introducing thorough integration tests, validation datasets, and performance benchmarks to ensure reliability
Model & Data Pipeline Ownership – from integrating external data sources to fine-tuning large language models and integrating them into our platform
End-to-End AI Development: Research and prototype advanced agentic AI, then turn prototypes into robust production services
Monitoring & Analytics: Implement metrics, dashboards, and alerting to track AI performance and spot issues early
Testing & Validation: Develop test frameworks (unit, integration) and create validation datasets for continuous evaluation of AI workflows
Collaborative Architecture: Work closely with our backend engineers to integrate AI modules with the broader platform (Inbox, Workflows, Escalation Center, etc.)
Scaling: Ensure our AI infrastructure is built to handle growing data volumes and real-time interactions with minimal latency
Qualification
Required
experience with building and shipping AI systems at scale, ideally using modern LLM-based techniques
thrive in a small, fast-moving startup environment, where you can take on significant responsibility
care deeply about crafting solutions that solve real customer problems
excited about working with a tight-knit team (both the CTO and fellow engineers) on cutting-edge AI
track record of achievement and initiative, with the drive to see tough projects through to completion
